Subprocessors & Infrastructure
1. Hosting, database, and authentication
Supabase (or equivalent) for account authentication, database storage, file storage (e.g. profile images), and related APIs. Data may be processed in regions where Supabase and its infrastructure operate.
2. Artificial intelligence (OpenAI)
TasteLabs uses OpenAI, LLC (“OpenAI”) as the subprocessor for generative and multimodal AI. When you use AI-powered features (e.g. ingredient detection from images or text, recipe generation, or related model outputs), prompts and related inputs are sent to OpenAI’s API for processing. Typical configurations use OpenAI GPT-class language models and, where images are analyzed, vision-capable endpoints (model identifiers such as gpt-4o-mini may change as we update our stack). If we add or replace an AI vendor materially, we will update this disclosure where appropriate.
3. App distribution and device services
Apple and Google provide app distribution, payment processing for in-app purchases, push notifications (if enabled), and device-level services. Their privacy policies and terms also apply to those interactions.
4. Communications and support
Email and support tooling used when you contact admins@taste-labs.com may process your message content and contact details.
5. Future subprocessors
We may add subprocessors for analytics, crash reporting, customer messaging, or fraud prevention. Where required by law, we will notify you or obtain consent before enabling new non-essential processing.
